Our latest lectures have been talking about the mole, molar mass, and hydrated compounds. All involve more math than we have normally done and (as Mrs. Frankenberg warned) combines all that we have learned so far in our class. Going all the way back to nomenclature from our first unit. Personally I like what we are doing. The straightforwardness of the math and equations is comforting. Also, the practical use of sig figs is helping me to fully understand the uses of the outlandish rounding system. I like the road map(and because the internet is really well I found a picture of the road map online and will share it with you) and how easy it is to remember. My system for memorizing which unit goes on the bottom or top is when you are traveling away from the mole you numbers like molar mass, or 6.02x10^23 goes on top, and when you are going towards the mole those go on the bottom.
