Archeology Lab Day 2

Wow, I am actually surprised I had enough brainpower for the lab today. For some reason i was just exhausted and it took me a little longer than it normally would to figure out who the missing girl was. I finally cracked the code and punched in the numbers and figured it out, and I really liked how it was a mystery we must figure out. I usually am really interested at those and enjoy the feeling of figuring something out after hard work. I was just very tired today and wanted to nap on the floor, so ya. I enjoyed it. Have a wonderful wednesday tomorrow everyone and may we all get wonderful sleep.

Collecting data for the "Dating-radioactive style" lab

Oh my goodness. It took a very long time. I acquired the help of my other to help sort and count, because i had a lot of homework to do and I didn't want the counting to take all night. However, it was interesting to see the outcome of the squares and on one of our half lives the amount that decayed was exactly half of the half life before it. I felt it tedious, but that it helped students gain the concept of half life, how hard work gains character, and some practice for our counting skills. Good night my fellow students and I hope you all sleep well.

Radioactive Decay Lesson

Today was our lecture on radioactive decay, which included alpha, beta, and gamma. I liked the lesson and thought it was easy to understand and simple once you got the hang of it. I liked the very last review slide she gave us that showed us all the information we needed in one place. This makes it easy to go back over when practicing and getting the lesson down quickly.
I wish the reader of this post a wonderful week and that one of your problems becomes solved.

Beanium Lab Reflection

This week we did a lab that helped us prepare for our quiz on wednesday. In the lab there was a new element discovered and it was up to the students of our chemistry classes to find out some information on said element. At the lab stations we were pick which station we wanted to be at. Our group luckily chose a station with a lower amount of the element, only 44 beaniums total. While some I knew chose a station with almost 200 in it. I was happy with the station chose and the outcome of the lab, for it greatly helped me understand the new lesson we had learned.

I will conclude this post with the creepy smile of our new found element. Let it bring you joy and slight unease.

Pre-Test Laughs

Honestly, I was handed the test, read the first question, and laughed out loud because I knew nothing. It was just comical how the symbols looked like a foreign language that you have looked at before but have never been taught nor tried to comprehend before. I knew a small amount about a few questions, but overall very little. However, it seems interesting and im excited to learn it.
Good luck to the rest of you.

Reflection of Frontier Chemistry Project

I thought it was one of the most interesting projects that I have ever done. I definitely found it to be relevant and something that I was interested in. however, it was the most work I have ever done on a project, that came out with a total of 17-18 hours of research all together.... It was hard, but came with a huge relief when I finished. When I did finish it was a weird feeling of happiness and disbelief that a project so big could be finished so quickly and with such an anti-climactic ending.

Things I learned in Nomeclature

I learned different ways of naming compounds. I thought it was interesting and a pretty simple concept to grasp. I liked learning it and thought it was interesting. I thought learning the polyatomic ions was stressful yet successful.
