Questions:
- It is important to identify plant/roots correctly because if you identify it incorrectly it may be poisonous.
- It would be prudent to know a variety of species from other regions when dealing with natural medicines and foods because you will then know how to help yourself or another wherever you go and not just in the area close to you.
- It would make a difference if you were traveling in different seasons because plants grow/bloom at different times in the year, so there may not be the certain plant you need or it may be out of season and now only helps with different maladies.
- It would be significant to make a relationship with local peoples about their plant habitat because they most likely know a lot about the medicinal uses of the plants in that area, and you can get help or ideas from them.
- If I was out of reach of traditional medicines, I would trust a text or my knowledge of local flora to treat my illness because I believe that the people before us used it so why shouldn't we.
