More Copper-L Lab
After a weekend of doing cool reaction stuff, this is what our copper looked like after we pulled it out. Needless to say, it was gross. I personally thought that this was one of the grossest labs I have ever done. maybe coming a close second to the lab in bio last year with liver(walking into a class with your teacher casually blending up liver isn't really a great start to your day). It was still very cool to see the reaction happen before our eyes and to be able to write out the chemical reaction the do the chemical reaction.

I like how you related it to something we did last year (even though it wasn't pleasant). Also I like how in you first picture the copper was just hanging off of the nail.
ReplyDeleteI made poor Carson do all the gross stuff in our lab, so he was pretty grossed out while i just watched an occasionally manned the pipette, while never actually making contact with the jar. So I get that it was gross, but I didn't have much to do with it. Also, the liver thing was pretty gross, and I still wont even look at a smoothie because I am that haunted by the memory.
